Cancellation & Refund Policy
We understand that plans change. This policy explains how cancellations are handled, what charges apply, and how refunds are processed — so there are no surprises.

Cancellation charges are calculated from the date we receive your written cancellation request via WhatsApp or email. Verbal cancellations are not accepted. All cancellations must be confirmed in writing by TravellingShoes before they take effect.
Quotation terms prevail. Where your personalised trip quotation specifies cancellation terms different from this standard policy, the terms stated in your quotation shall take precedence in all respects.
How to Cancel
To cancel or modify your trip, please contact us through one of the following:
Send a written cancellation message to +91 91376 55713. Include your full name, travel dates, and destination.
Message us on WhatsApp →Cancellation is effective only once you receive a written acknowledgement from TravellingShoes confirming receipt of your request.
Cancellation Charges
The following charges apply based on how far in advance you cancel before your trip departure date:

| 7 – 14 days | 75% of total trip cost |

Quotation terms take precedence
The cancellation terms specified in your personalised quotation always prevail over this standard schedule. Please refer to your quotation for the exact terms applicable to your booking.
Note: Certain bookings — such as international trips, peak season travel (Christmas, New Year, Diwali), luxury resorts, and chartered experiences — may have stricter cancellation terms. These will be clearly stated in your personalised quotation before you confirm your booking.
Cancellation charges for individual components (hotels, transfers, activities) are governed by the respective supplier's terms. In some cases, these may be more stringent than our standard policy.
Refund Process
Where a refund is applicable under this policy, TravellingShoes will process it as follows:
Processing Time
Refunds are processed within 7–14 business days from the date of written cancellation confirmation.
Refund Method
Refunds are returned to the original payment method used at the time of booking. Bank transfers, UPI, and card payments are refunded to the source account.
Currency
All refunds are processed in Indian Rupees (INR). For international trip bookings involving foreign currency components, refund amounts may be subject to exchange rate differences.
Deductions
Any third-party cancellation fees, processing charges, or non-recoverable costs already incurred will be deducted from the refundable amount before it is processed.
Trip Modifications
We understand that travel plans evolve. If you wish to change your dates, destination, or trip components rather than cancel entirely:
- Modification requests must be made in writing via WhatsApp
- Changes are subject to availability at the time of the request
- Date changes made 30+ days before departure are generally accommodated at no additional service fee, subject to any cost difference in accommodation or services
- Date changes within 15 days of departure are treated as cancellations and re-bookings, and standard cancellation charges may apply
- Upgrades, add-ons, or destination changes may result in a revised quotation
No-Show Policy
A “no-show” occurs when a traveller fails to arrive at the first service point (hotel check-in, transfer pickup, etc.) without prior written notification to TravellingShoes.
In the event of a no-show, 100% of the total trip cost is forfeited. No refund will be issued for any unused services.

Force Majeure
In exceptional circumstances beyond the reasonable control of either party (“Force Majeure”), including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters (earthquakes, floods, cyclones)
- Government-imposed travel bans, border closures, or lockdowns
- Declared war, civil unrest, or terrorism
- Pandemic or public health emergencies declared by government authorities
- Airport closures or airspace restrictions
In force majeure situations, TravellingShoes will offer a full credit note valid for 12 months, or work with suppliers to recover as much of the paid amount as possible. Cash refunds in force majeure cases depend on amounts recoverable from third-party suppliers and are not guaranteed.
Supplier Cancellations
Occasionally, a hotel, resort, or service provider may cancel a confirmed booking due to circumstances on their end (overbooking, closure, etc.). In such cases, TravellingShoes will:
- Notify you as soon as we become aware of the issue
- Arrange an alternative of equal or higher standard at no additional cost wherever possible
- If no suitable alternative is available, provide a full refund of the affected component
TravellingShoes is not liable for any additional costs (e.g., flights, visa fees) incurred as a result of a supplier cancellation beyond our control.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that all travellers purchase comprehensive travel insurance before departure. A good policy should cover:
- Trip cancellation and curtailment
- Emergency medical treatment and hospitalisation
- Medical evacuation and repatriation
- Loss or theft of baggage and personal belongings
- Flight delays and missed connections
- Personal liability
Travel insurance can protect you from financial loss in circumstances not covered by this cancellation policy, including personal emergencies and medical situations. TravellingShoes does not sell travel insurance but can recommend reputable providers on request.
